+Pain Paradigm Introduction (0.5 hour)-We will introduce the topic of Pain and clinical management from a perspective of the Business of Health and the Health of Business. A strategy will be discussed on proper management and retention of patients with complex pain issues.+Pain Paradigm Overview-This section will review acute and chronic pain. Chronic pain interferes with a person’s ability to work, sleep and enjoy daily life. We will discuss different kinds of pain presentations including systemic 4 quadrant pain, neuropathic and nociceptive. Common triggers will be discussed along with conventional and nonconventional evaluation tools. Focus will be a full terrain-based assessment of contributing factors for addressing the pain paradigm vs. simply managing it.+Physical Exam and Differential Diagnosis-Proper physical exam findings and diagnosis of localized, neuropathic or 4 quadrant pain are essential to best clinical outcomes. Key pearls for assessment and quick reference physical exams will be discussed to orient the provider for selecting the best treatment strategy for eliminating pain instead of managing it.+Outcome Based Focus: Multimodality approach: Treatment formula overview-Having a large toolbox can be blessing or curse. This section will orient to provider proper nutritional focuses, manual therapies, topicals, medications, nutraceuticals, intravenous approaches that are essential for controlling the pain cascade and improving recovery. We will move through the treatment formula for best clinical outcomes.+Unique Treatment Tools Part 1: Perineural Injection Therapy (1.5 hours)-PIT therapy is essential for any practice in resolving pain in over 75% of pains. This will open the eye to a paradigm shift of treating pain, neuropathic itch and other neurologic inflammatory conditions. We will discuss the anatomy and treatment protocols for top complaint issues that will walk into your office.
+Unique Treatment Tools Part 2: Ozone Injection Therapy-Ozone has multiple clinical applications including addressing pain. This will talk about neural ozone release and orthopedic applications on key pain regions.+Unique Treatment Tools Practicum: Perineural Injection and Ozone-Hands on experience doing PIT injections and Ozone.
